At Truity Credit Union, we’re always looking for ways to make your banking experience more secure, convenient, and personal. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of Voice ID, our new biometric authentication service that will roll out in our Contact Center starting April 2!

What Is Voice ID?

Voice ID is a secure, fast, and easy way to verify your identity when calling our Contact Center. Instead of answering security questions or providing a password, Voice ID uses the unique features of your voice—much like a fingerprint—to authenticate you in seconds.

Your voice is made up of more than 100 unique characteristics, including tone, pitch, and rhythm. Voice ID analyzes these traits to create a one-of-a-kind encrypted voiceprint that allows us to recognize you every time you call.

Why Are We Introducing Voice ID?

Voice ID helps us serve you better by:

  • Speeding up verification – saves up to a minute per call.
  • Enhancing security – your voiceprint is virtually impossible to fake or duplicate.
  • Improving the member experience – no more remembering passwords or answering multiple security questions.

It’s just another way we’re working to make banking easier and more secure—on your terms.

How It Works

  1. Enroll by phone: When you call our Contact Center at 800.897.6991, a representative will offer to enroll you in Voice ID. Enrollment takes just a moment and is completely optional.
  2. Get verified: On future calls, you’ll simply speak and be verified in seconds.
  3. Stay protected: If a fraudster tries to mimic your voice or use a recording, the system will detect inconsistencies and flag the call.

Voice ID is powered by advanced technology that runs in the background of live conversations. It continuously learns your voice over time—even adapting when you have a cold or your voice changes slightly.

Your Privacy Matters

Below are a few key points to help clarify how Voice ID protects your information.

  • Is it secure? Yes. Your voiceprint is stored as an encrypted digital pattern—never as a recording—and can’t be used outside our system.
  • Can I opt out? Absolutely. If you choose not to enroll, you’ll be asked to create a verbal password for phone verification instead.
  • Can someone else mimic my voice? Highly unlikely. Voice ID analyzes over 7,500 unique vocal features, making it extremely difficult for AI or recordings to succeed.
